Barometer of Fixed Internet Connections in Greece– H1 2019

Cosmote and Wind subscribers enjoyed the best fixed Internet performance in the last semester.

From January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2019 we counted 129.843 nPerf.com tests on Greece’s four largest Internet Service Providers. The largest number of speed tests have been carried out on the website of our partner in Greece: https://www.speedtest.ελ

Cosmote and Wind dominate the market in terms of performance of fixed Internet connections by being the firsts on download and upload speed tests and on latency tests. These two ISP keep ahead of their competitors Vodafone and Nova.

In the last semester, the average download speed in Greece was 19 Mb/s.

All technologies combined, Cosmote subscribers benefited from the best fixed internet download in the last semester (21.8 Mbs).

Globally, all ISPs have improved their download speed throughout the first semester and it’s Vodafone that had the best progress (+33%) just before Wind (+32%).

To ensure maximum user bandwidth at all times, nPerf relies on a network of servers dedicated to this task. These servers are located with hosts in Greece and abroad.
