nPerf, a french company, is one of the main leaders of Telecom networks crowdsource testing.
Measuring network performances can be done in many ways, nPerf uses its community of users performing tests on their mobile connection with the nPerf app. Furthermore, nPerf is not only measuring networks speed but also Customer Experience with its streaming and browsing tests.
For the first time, nPerf is publishing its annual report on mobile networks in the UK.
The nPerf score is based on the results from download and upload speed tests, latency , browsing and streaming tests. Data has been aggregated to establish a performance benchmark.
Barometer of Mobile Internet Connections in the UK – Year 2019
In 2019, nPerf users has made 42,033 connection tests (including speed test, browsing test and streaming test) with nPerf mobile app (iOS, Android).
Vodafone UK provided the Best Mobile Internet Performance in 2019 .
Vodafone UK is the winner of the following categories:
- Best download speed with 50 Mb/s
- Best upload speed with 13 Mb/s
And has been the joint winner with EE:
- Best latency with 43 ms
- Best browsing performance with a performance rate 70%
- Best streaming performance with a performance rate of 83%
In the end, Vodafone UK wins, with EE following closely.

In London, Vodafone UK has also provided the best mobile network performances, with results achieving better than the rest of the UK.
- Best download speed with 65 Mb/s
- Best upload speed with 16 Mb/s
And has been the joint winner with EE:
- Best latency with 33 ms
- Best browsing performance with a performance rate 73%
- Best streaming performance with a performance rate of 86%
